The Central Luzon District Connectional Ministries (Executive Committee), headed by Rev. Nazareno Dela Cruz, serves as a vital partner to church congregations and ministry teams (boards and committees), working collaboratively to discern, nurture, and realize God’s new dreams for the Church and the world. Rooted in a deep commitment to the United Methodist tradition and the movement of the Holy Spirit, Connectional Ministries provides both guidance and support, helping churches and individuals live more fully into their calling as disciples of Jesus Christ.
This CLD Connectional Ministries equips and encourages churches to:
- Engage in vital ministry that reflects bold Wesleyan expressions of discipleship, emphasizing personal and social holiness. Through innovative and Spirit-led approaches, congregations are empowered to make disciples of Jesus Christ in ways that are deeply rooted in Scripture, energized by grace, and responsive to the needs of the present age.
- Grow intentionally in the ongoing work of anti-racism and justice, recognizing these as essential expressions of our commitment to the Way of Jesus. Connectional Ministries supports churches in confronting injustice, dismantling systemic racism, and building communities of equity, inclusion, and reconciliation where the dignity of every person is honored.
- Develop strong, spiritually grounded leaders—both lay and clergy—who are equipped to make a meaningful impact within their congregations, in the mission field, and throughout the broader community. Leadership development focuses not only on skills and strategies but also on spiritual formation, discernment, and servant-hearted leadership.
- Engage compassionately and creatively with the physical and spiritual needs of both their immediate neighborhoods and the wider world. Through outreach, advocacy, missions, and acts of mercy, churches become agents of Christ’s healing and hope, extending grace beyond the walls of the sanctuary.
- Connect the local, regional, and global Church, affirming the unity and diversity of the Body of Christ. Connectional Ministries helps congregations see themselves as part of a larger movement, fostering collaboration across geographical and cultural boundaries to strengthen the shared mission of making disciples and transforming the world.
In all of this, Connectional Ministries seeks to be a faithful companion in the journey, equipping churches to move with courage, creativity, and conviction as they participate in God’s unfolding work in the world.
