November 14-15, 2025 | The Central Luzon Philippines Annual Conference (CLPAC) United Methodist Youth Fellowship in the Philippines (UMYFP) held its conference-wide Leadership Training for the upcoming Christmas Institute 2025 at Moncada United Methodist Church. This preparatory gathering brought together youth leaders from various local churches to strengthen their capacity for planning, discipleship, and ministry coordination. The training serves as the foundational stage for organizing the Christmas Institute scheduled for December 28–31, 2025, to be hosted by Sulipa UMC, Sulipa, Gerona, Tarlac.

Purpose and Scope of the Gathering
The leadership training aimed to develop a unified and well-prepared team capable of facilitating a spiritually grounded and logistically efficient Christmas Institute (CI). Participants engaged in sessions focusing on program design, small-group facilitation, worship leadership, safety protocols, and administrative roles. Emphasis was placed on aligning all committee functions with the Methodist tradition of servant leadership and transformational ministry.

Theme: Banyuhay – Bagong Anyo ng Buhay
The 2025 Christmas Institute carries the theme “Banyuhay (Bagong Anyo ng Buhay)”, which highlights personal and communal transformation through faith. This theme shaped the orientation sessions, reminding the young leaders that their preparatory roles extend beyond organizational tasks. The training encouraged them to embody the principles of renewal, responsible discipleship, and Christ-centered service.

Unity and Collaboration Across the Conference
One of the defining aspects of the event was the opportunity for collaboration among young people from different districts and local churches within the CLPAC. Leaders shared perspectives on youth ministry challenges, community engagement, and mission opportunities. This multi-church involvement strengthens the capacity of the conference to maintain a holistic and connected youth movement.

Looking Ahead to Christmas Institute 2025
With the training completed, preparations now transition toward implementation for the December gathering in Sulipa UMC. The leadership team will continue refining program materials, coordinating committees, and ensuring readiness for the large-scale youth event. The overarching goal is to create an environment where participants can encounter spiritual renewal, live out the message of Banyuhay, and embody a “bagong anyo ng buhay” shaped by the life and teachings of Christ.

The Leadership Training hosted by Moncada UMC marks a significant milestone in the conference’s annual youth ministry cycle. Through disciplined preparation and shared commitment, the young leaders of the Central Luzon Philippines Annual Conference are poised to guide the Christmas Institute 2025 with purpose, clarity, and transformative faith.
