December 28–31 | Sulipa UMC Campsite – The Joint Christmas Institute 2025 of the Central and North Central Luzon District of the United Methodist Church, Central Luzon Philippine Annual Conference, gathered young people from across the districts for four life-giving days of worship, learning, fellowship, and renewal. Anchored on the theme “Banyuhay: Bagong Anyo ng Buhay,” the institute invited every delegate to embrace transformation and step into a renewed life in Christ.
Day 1 – December 28: Opening Worship & Welcome Night
The institute opened with a reverent worship service and Holy Communion officiated by Rev. Augusto S. Rosario Jr., who also shared a powerful message on Banyuhay. His words set the spiritual tone of the gathering—calling the youth to a deeper surrender and a lived faith shaped by Christ.

As evening came, the campsite came alive with a joyful Welcome Night, where UMYF members showcased their God-given talents through music, dance, and creative performances—celebrating unity, diversity, and youthful passion for ministry.
Day 2 – December 29: Bible Studies, Episcopal Visit & Mr. and Ms. CI
A full day of Bible studies nourished both mind and spirit, grounding the youth in Scripture and shared reflection. Two remarkable thoughts overheard among young people are the words “uninstall and install.” These words set the spiritual conditioning to attain the fullness of Bagong Anyo ng Buhay.

In the afternoon, the delegates were blessed by the presence of Bishop Rev. Dr. Rodel M. Acdal (incumbent Bishop of the Bagiuo Episcopal Area), who offered warm greetings and encouragement. Fellowship deepened over a sumptuous shared meal with the workers of the sibling districts, accompanied by the NCLD Superintendent Rev. Dr. Esrom S. Sales and the Former CLD DS Rev. Eduardo S. Sales, generously hosted through the kindness of DS Rev. Augusto S. Rosario Jr.

The evening culminated in the Mr. and Ms. CI pageant, highlighting confidence, grace, and servant leadership. Mr. CI hailed from Lanat UMC, represented by Mr. Ornan Vidaya, while Ms. CI represented Cariño UMC, represented by Ms. Khina Salivio. Both embody the spirit of Banyuhay.
Day 3 – December 30: Amazing Race & Revival Night
Energy and teamwork took center stage during the Amazing Race, where each group completed quests across seven stations—testing faith, cooperation, and creativity.
That night, a spirit-awakening Revival Service stirred hearts through the testimony of the Chaplain of Wesleyan University–Philippines, Rev Dr. Francis Fajardo. He shared his journey—from digging ditches to becoming an engineer, and ultimately responding to God’s call into pastoral ministry. His story reminded the youth that God’s call often unfolds through unexpected paths—and obedience leads to purpose.
Day 4 – December 31: Consecration & Sending Forth
On the final day, the UMYF was consecrated and charged to live out a new life in Christ—carrying Banyuhay beyond the campsite and into their churches, schools, and communities.

By 10:30 AM, it was Home Sweet Home—not an ending, but a beginning. Delegates departed renewed in faith, committed to sharing Christ, and ready to live the transformed life God has called them to.
A Lasting Impact
The Joint Christmas Institute 2025 was more than an event—it was a sacred space of renewal, friendship, and calling. It is also historic in essence, since the 2025 Christmas Institute is remarkably tied to the UMYF as one district, which is now parting in 2026 and is expected to organize their new sets of UMYF officers to lead their districts. As the youth return home, may the spirit of Banyuhay continue to shape their walk with Christ and their witness to the world. Divided into two districts yet united in vision to Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously.
