07 December 2025 |Sembrano Mission Congregation – became the setting of a collaborative mission outreach led by various United Methodist groups: the Clergy Spouses Association (CSA)–CLPAC, CSA Central Luzon District and North Central Luzon District, the United Methodist Young Adult Fellowship (UMYAF) of CLD and NCLD, and Sulipa United Methodist Church.

Working together, these groups reached around 50 children, accompanied by their parents, in a concrete expression of Christian service and community care. The mission team distributed pairs of tsinelas (slippers) to the children and provided families with packs of rice, grocery items. The team also served a hearty meal, allowing participants not only to receive material support but also to experience fellowship and hospitality around the table. Fun games also filled the place with joy and happiness.

Sembrano Mission is currently being shepherded by Sulipa UMC under the leadership of Rev. Jayson D. Quinit. The congregation now holds regular worship services under the shade of mango trees, supported by two tents that serve as their simple but meaningful worship space. This setting underscores both the humility and resilience of a growing faith community.

Key lay and clergy leaders helped organize and support the outreach. UMYAF Chair Arriane Fernando, CLD & NCLD CSA Chair Sis. Stella Maris Puerto, and CLPAC CSA Chair Sis. Loida Sison worked together to embody and share Christ’s love with the community through this mission initiative.

District-level leaders also took part in the event. District Superintendent Rev. Augusto Rosario Jr., Bro. Garry Maghilom (NCLD Lay Leader), and Bro. Vic Catabona (CLD Lay Leader) offered inspirational messages to the community, affirming the importance of solidarity, compassion, and ongoing support for the mission congregation.

Several pastors and deaconesses were present to lend spiritual and pastoral support: Rev. Judy Pascual (a resident of the area), Rev. Nazareno Dela Cruz, Rev. Renato Cayme, Rev. Alvin Puerto, Deaconess Leah Andaya, Deaconess Jenyl Joy Sabala, along with UMYAF officers and Sulipa UMC Council officers. Their presence highlighted the collective commitment of the wider connectional church to stand alongside emerging congregations and mission areas.

Overall, the event served as a concrete demonstration of God’s grace and love at work—expressed through shared resources, time, and presence. In simple yet significant ways, the Sembrano Mission outreach reminded everyone involved that the church’s mission is not confined to sanctuaries and buildings, but is lived out wherever communities are gathered, needs are met, and Christ’s love is made visible.
