The Joint UMM and WSCS Christmas Assembly 2025 at Sulipa UMC in Gerona, Tarlac brought together members of The United Methodist Church from the Central and North Central Luzon Districts. With the theme “New Beginning as Faithful Servants of the Two Districts,”.
The opening worship main message, delivered by Rev. Jayson D. Quinit deepened the spiritual identity of both organizations. He emphasized the inevitable coming of the New Beginning – of Salvation, of Hope, and of Mission. The UMM and WSCS members were reminded that their ministries in outreach, discipleship, and support work must flow from a shared commitment to Christ. This unified biblical focus helps local fellowships design programs that support a common spiritual direction rather than isolated activities.

A greetings from Honorable Joy Gilbert Lamorena, Board Member of 1st District of Tarlac, also emphasize the beauty of being essentially united despite being divided into two district. He encouraged the congregation that we are servants of the Lord, pursuing faithful service to both God and the community and making the UMC bigger. He assured that he will remain supportive to the church and will collaboratively work with the District Superintendents.

Rev. Evangeline Corpuz, lecturer of the event, shared a very encouraging lecture lessons for this Seasons of New Beginning. She said that it is a season of change and letting go, heeding onward, towards God’s mission.

Interactive games and informal interactions had a direct impact on organizational unity. Members from different churches and districts were mixed together, which reduced barriers and built trust between leaders and volunteers. Stronger personal relationships translate into smoother coordination when planning joint mission projects, training events, and community ministries.

The awarding segment and DS Hour further strengthened the structure of UMM and WSCS. Recognizing workers and local units communicated that faithful service is valued, encouraging excellence and consistency in ministry. Messages from district superintendents aligned local church programs with district priorities, ensuring that UMM and WSCS activities support a wider vision for the sibling districts.

The closing hymn, benediction, and shared lunch sealed the Christmas fellowship as a formative event for both organizations. Worship reinforced that UMM and WSCS are first and foremost communities of disciples, while the meal created space for networking and planning future collaborations.

As a result, the 2025 Christmas Assembly did not simply celebrate the season; it strengthened the organizational life, unity, and mission effectiveness of UMM and WSCS across the two districts.
