The Lay Servant Ministry (LSM) Advance Course was successfully conducted at Gerona United Methodist Church on October 4, 2025. The event gathered 13 dedicated lay servants accompanied by pastors, all united in the mission of deepening their service and faith.

Five esteemed pastors served as lecturers, each sharing powerful insights from Bishop Robert Schnase’s book Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations:
- Rev. Jonathan Andres – Radical Hospitality
- Rev. Wilson Vinluan – Passionate Worship
- Rev. Jayson Quinit – Intentional Faith Development
- Rev. Dante Garibay – Risk-Taking Mission and Service
- Rev. Marites Daliva – Extravagant Generosity
The course was headed by Sis. Loida A. Sison, CLD Directress of the Lay Servant Ministry. Five churches sent their delegates to participate in this meaningful formation event.
The program opened with a prayer led by Rev. Lorenzo De Leon, setting a reverent tone for the day’s learning. District Superintendent Rev. Augusto S. Rosario Jr. gave words of encouragement and led the closing prayer, inspiring everyone to apply the lessons learned in their ministries.

Also present to support the event were Rev. Reynan Sabala, Rev. Jackielou Andres, Rev. Nazareno Dela Cruz, and Rev. Roge Sison.
It was truly a day of growth, fellowship, and renewed commitment to serve God and the church with passion, faith, and generosity.
Extending our gratitude to Rev. Dante and Sis. Zaida Garibay, District Lay Leader Bro. Victor Catabona, and Gerona UMC.
To God be the glory for another fruitful milestone in the Lay Servant Ministry!
