Sta. Lucia UMC, September 13, 2025 — The Central Luzon District continues to strengthen its leadership by investing in proper equipping and training for church councils and committees. On this day, Sta. Lucia United Methodist Church hosted a significant Committee on Pastor-Parish Relations (CPPR) Training attended by dedicated Committee Chairs, Council Officers, and CLD Workers.

The training featured two insightful lectures that gave participants a deeper grasp of their responsibilities and the processes that guide the church’s mission.
✅ Rev. Dante Garibay delivered a comprehensive lecture on the Job Description of the Committee on Pastor-Parish Relations. His presentation clarified the vital role of CPPR in ensuring a healthy relationship between pastors and the congregation, emphasizing accountability, communication, and mutual support. Everyone left enlightened about the scope and purpose of CPPR in strengthening ministry.

✅ District Superintendent Rev. Augusto S. Rosario Jr. followed with a highly engaging talk on the Pastor Appointment Process. This session captured much interest as participants raised thoughtful questions regarding how appointments are discerned, approved, and implemented within the United Methodist connectional system. Their curiosity reflected both genuine concern and eagerness to understand the pastoral itinerancy better.

No gathering is complete without fellowship around the table. A sumptuous lunch awaited all attendees, graciously prepared by Sta. Lucia UMC under the leadership of Rev. Nazareno Dela Cruz. The meal not only filled hungry stomachs but also nourished the spirit of community and camaraderie among leaders.
This training was more than just lectures—it was a renewal of commitment for both clergy and laity to work hand in hand, ensuring that the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ continues to be lived out faithfully in every local church.
